GFPGAN provides a free, browser-based AI face restoration tool powered by the GFPGAN (Generative Facial Prior GAN) model. The tool processes images entirely on your local device using WebAssembly — no images are uploaded to any server at any time. The service includes the restoration tool, blog, documentation, and any related content published on this domain.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use this service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the tool to generate, enhance, or distribute non-consensual intimate images or deepfakes intended to harass, defame, or harm any individual
• Process images of minors for any exploitative or inappropriate purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract model weights or proprietary code from this site
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from this site beyond normal browser use
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the restoration tool
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Introduce viruses, trojans, malware, or other harmful code

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these terms.

3. Intellectual Property

The GFPGAN AI model is open-source software licensed under the MIT License, originally developed by researchers at Tencent ARC. The model weights and underlying research are the intellectual property of their respective authors. This site's design, branding, written content, and original code are owned by the GFPGAN Team and may not be reproduced without permission.

Restored images produced by the tool are derived from your original input. You retain all rights to your original images. We do not claim ownership over any images you process using the tool.

4. Privacy and Image Processing

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. 6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the GFPGAN Team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising from your use of or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for all claims arising from use of this service shall not exceed USD $0, as the service is provided free of charge.
